NVIDIA dropped Isaac GR00T on September 29, a foundation model infusing robots with “humanlike” reasoning, letting them parse complex instructions and adapt via simulation. Co-developed with Google DeepMind, it integrates the open-source Newton Physics Engine for hyper-realistic training in Isaac Lab. Early tests show bots handling warehouse chaos with 40% fewer errors. “Robots aren’t just tools anymore; they’re learners,” says NVIDIA’s robotics lead. From assembly lines to eldercare, GR00T could automate 25% more tasks by 2027, per IFR projections.
