Terms of Use

Effective Date: July 10, 2026 Last Updated: July 10, 2026

Welcome to Techietory (“Techietory,” “we,” “us,” or “our“), accessible at https://techietory.com (the “Site“). These Terms of Use (“Terms“) govern your access to and use of the Site, including all content, features, tools, and services offered on or through it, such as our articles and learning resources, forum, online compiler, comment and chat features, user profiles, subscriptions, and contact tools (collectively, the “Services“).

By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, posting content, subscribing to our newsletter, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Services.

1. Eligibility

1.1 You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the interactive features of the Site (forum, comments, compiler, profiles). If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

1.2 By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
  • You are not barred from using the Services under any applicable law;
  • All registration information you submit is truthful and accurate; and
  • You will maintain the accuracy of such information.

1.3 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Accounts and User Profiles

2.1 Registration. To access certain features (forum posting, comments, the online compiler’s saved projects, subscriptions), you must register for an account and create a user profile.

2.2 Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated. You may not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

2.3 Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at the contact details in Section 18 if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

2.4 One Account Per Person. You may not create multiple accounts for abusive, evasive, or deceptive purposes (including evading a suspension or ban).

2.5 Profile Content. You are solely responsible for the content of your public profile (username, avatar, bio, signature, links). Profile content must comply with Section 8 (User Conduct) and the Forum Rules referenced in Section 9.

2.6 Termination by You. You may deactivate or request deletion of your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data upon deletion.

3. Subscriptions and Newsletter

3.1 Techietory offers a free newsletter subscription and may offer paid or free membership tiers or subscription plans from time to time (“Subscriptions“) that may provide access to additional features, content, or reduced advertising.

3.2 Payment Terms. If you purchase a paid Subscription:

  • All fees are stated in the currency indicated at checkout and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method for recurring fees until you cancel.
  • You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are provided for the unused portion of a period unless required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change Subscription pricing. We will provide reasonable advance notice of price changes affecting existing subscribers.
  • Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. Use of a payment processor is subject to that processor’s own terms and privacy policy.

3.3 Newsletter. By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receive periodic emails from us. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email or via your account settings.

3.4 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any Subscription tier or feature at any time, with notice where reasonably practicable.

4. The Forum

4.1 The Site includes a community forum (“Forum“) where registered users may create posts, threads, and replies on technology-related topics.

4.2 Use of the Forum is subject to these Terms and our separate Forum Rules, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at /forum-rules. In the event of a conflict between the Forum Rules and these Terms on a forum-specific matter, the Forum Rules govern.

4.3 We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to monitor, review, edit, move, lock, or remove any Forum content, and to suspend or ban users, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. Online Compiler

5.1 The Site provides an online code compiler/execution tool (“Compiler“) that allows users to write, edit, run, and (where enabled) save or share code snippets in supported programming languages.

5.2 Acceptable Use of the Compiler. You agree not to use the Compiler to:

  • Write, compile, run, store, or distribute malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, exploits, or any code intended to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
  • Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the sandboxing, resource limits, or security controls of the Compiler infrastructure;
  • Mine cryptocurrency, run denial-of-service tools, conduct port scanning, launch network attacks, or otherwise use compute resources for purposes unrelated to legitimate learning, testing, or development;
  • Attempt to access other users’ code, data, or credentials, or the underlying host systems;
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits (rate limits, execution time, memory, storage) that we may impose; or
  • Upload, process, or generate content that violates Section 8 (User Conduct) or applicable law.

5.3 No Guarantee of Persistence or Confidentiality. Code you write or run in the Compiler may be logged, cached, rate-limited, or automatically deleted. Do not use the Compiler to store confidential, proprietary, or sensitive information, credentials, API keys, or personal data belonging to yourself or others. We are not liable for loss of code, data, or work product stored in or run through the Compiler.

5.4 Security Monitoring. We may monitor Compiler activity, including code submitted for execution, for security, abuse-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes, and may suspend accounts or restrict access for violations of this Section.

5.5 Any code you voluntarily make public (e.g., by sharing a snippet, posting to the Forum, or publishing to your profile) is subject to Section 10 (Intellectual Property; User Content License).

6. Comments and Chat Features

6.1 The Site allows registered and, where enabled, guest users to post comments on articles and news posts, and may offer real-time or asynchronous chat features within the Forum or Site.

6.2 Comments and chat messages are subject to the same conduct standards as Forum posts (Section 8 and the Forum Rules) and may be moderated, held for approval, edited, or removed at our discretion.

6.3 We use third-party commenting infrastructure (currently including a WordPress-based comment system) which may set its own cookies and process data as described in our Privacy Policy and the relevant third-party provider’s own policy.

6.4 Do not use comments or chat to post spam, unsolicited advertising, phishing links, or content prohibited under Section 8.

7. Contact Page and Communications

7.1 Our Contact page allows you to submit inquiries, feedback, bug reports, partnership requests, or other communications to us. Information submitted through the Contact page is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

7.2 We are under no obligation to respond to every inquiry but will make reasonable efforts to respond to legitimate requests, including legal, security, and privacy-related requests.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to, and not to assist or encourage others to:

8.1 Post, upload, transmit, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;

8.2 Infringe or misappropriate any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity/privacy, or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party, including by posting content you do not have the rights to share;

8.3 Post spam, unauthorized advertising, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other unsolicited promotional content;

8.4 Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;

8.5 Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, or threaten other users, or collect or store personal information about other users without consent (doxxing);

8.6 Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site, Forum, or Compiler;

8.7 Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users’ accounts, or connected systems, or circumvent any security or authentication measures;

8.8 Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, index, or extract data from the Site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt and applicable law, or to create accounts in bulk;

8.9 Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Site or Services, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;

8.10 Use the Services to violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including export control, data protection, and intellectual property laws;

8.11 Submit false reports, abuse the moderation/reporting system, or manipulate votes, ratings, or engagement metrics; or

8.12 Use content generated by our AI tools (see Section 11) or the Site in a manner that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Violation of this Section may result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, at our sole discretion, and may be reported to law enforcement where appropriate.

9. Forum Rules Incorporation

Detailed, category-by-category rules governing forum conduct, posting standards, moderation procedures, and enforcement actions (warnings, mutes, bans) are set out in our Forum Rules, available at /forum-rules and incorporated into these Terms by reference. All Forum users are required to read and comply with the Forum Rules in addition to this Section and Section 8.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Our Content

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and all content on it — including text, articles, tutorials, graphics, logos, images, videos, audio, code samples, software, page layouts, and the “Techietory” name and logo (collectively, “Techietory Content“) — are owned by or licensed to Techietory and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10.2 Limited License to You. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Techietory Content for your personal, non-commercial, educational use. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, modify, create derivative works from, sell, or exploit any Techietory Content without our prior written consent, except:

  • Brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the original source, consistent with fair use/fair dealing principles; or
  • Code samples explicitly marked as free to reuse, which are provided under the license terms (if any) stated alongside them.

10.3 Trademarks. “Techietory” and associated logos are trademarks of Techietory. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

10.4 User Content License

User Content” means any content you submit, post, upload, or transmit through the Site, including forum posts, comments, chat messages, profile information, code submitted to or shared via the Compiler, and any text, images, videos, or files you contribute.

By submitting User Content, you grant Techietory a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform, and publicly display such User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Site and Services, in any media now known or later developed. This license continues even if you stop using the Services, solely to the extent necessary to allow us to continue displaying content already shared with other users (e.g., a forum thread) or as required for backup and legal compliance, unless you request deletion under our Privacy Policy.

10.5 Your Responsibility and Warranties. You retain ownership of your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit the User Content and grant the license above;
  • Your User Content does not infringe or violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and
  • Your User Content complies with Section 8 and applicable law.

10.6 Feedback. If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Site, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free, perpetual license to use it without any obligation to you.

10.7 Copyright Complaints (DMCA / Notice-and-Takedown)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated contact (Section 18) including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Site; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

11. AI Tools and AI-Assisted Content

11.1 We use artificial intelligence tools to assist in improving content quality on the Site — for example, to help with editing, summarization, formatting, research assistance, translation, or quality/consistency checks on articles and other Techietory Content.

11.2 Human Oversight. AI-assisted content published as Techietory Content is reviewed and edited by our editorial team before publication, and Techietory remains responsible for the content we publish.

11.3 No Warranty on AI Output. AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Content on the Site — whether AI-assisted or not — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional, technical, safety-critical, financial, or legal advice without independent verification. See Section 13 (Disclaimers).

11.4 User Use of AI Features. If we offer AI-powered features directly to users (e.g., an AI assistant within the Compiler or Forum), your use of such features is subject to these Terms, and you remain solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI-generated code or content before relying on or deploying it.

11.5 You may not use any AI or automated tools available on the Site to generate content that violates Section 8, to mass-produce spam, or to impersonate real individuals.

12. Third-Party Services, Advertising, and Links

12.1 Advertising and Analytics. The Site uses third-party advertising and analytics services, including Google Ads (AdSense), Google Analytics, and related tools (e.g., via Google Site Kit) and similar services, to display advertisements, measure Site performance, and understand usage patterns. These providers may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies. Details of the data involved and your choices are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie/Consent notice.

12.2 Third-Party Links. The Site may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services (including social media platforms such as Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, GitHub, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube) that are not owned or controlled by Techietory. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Access to third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

12.3 Payment Processors. Subscription payments may be processed by third-party payment providers subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

12.4 We do not endorse and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or reliability of any third-party content, advertising, or services accessible from or displayed on the Site.

13. Disclaimers

13.1 “As Is” Basis. THE SITE AND ALL SERVICES, CONTENT, AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

13.2 Educational Content Only. Techietory Content (articles, tutorials, code examples, forum discussions) is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not professional, engineering, safety, financial, medical, or legal advice. Technical projects involving electronics, robotics, 3D printing, or hardware may involve physical risk (electric shock, burns, fire, mechanical injury); you are solely responsible for following safety precautions and applicable regulations, and for independently verifying any instructions before undertaking a project.

13.3 Compiler Output. We do not warrant that code executed via the Compiler will be secure, bug-free, or fit for production or any particular purpose. Do not use the Compiler for processing sensitive, regulated, or production data.

13.4 User Content. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any User Content, including forum posts and comments. Views expressed by users are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Techietory.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECHIETORY, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

14.2 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).

14.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Techietory and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

16. Suspension and Termination

16.1 We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict your access to any part of the Services, at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, the Forum Rules, applicable law, or is otherwise harmful to the Site, other users, or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion, including inactivity or discontinuation of the Services.

16.2 Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 19) will survive.

16.3 You may terminate your account at any time as described in Section 2.6.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

17.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

17.2 We encourage you to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally (Section 18) before pursuing formal legal action. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer in your jurisdiction of residence.

18. Contact Us

For questions about these Terms, copyright notices, or to report a violation, please contact us via our Contact page or by email at: legal@techietory.com

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. We will update the “Last Updated” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice (e.g., a Site banner or email to registered users). Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Services.

20. Miscellaneous

20.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Forum Rules, constitute the entire agreement between you and Techietory regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.

20.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

20.3 No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

20.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

20.5 Force Majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authority, fire, floods, accidents, network or infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

By using Techietory, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
